Who we are
The Better Way Alliance is a network of Canadian businesses working toward better wages, fairer commercial rent, and stronger local economies. This site provides information about our work, free tools for business owners, and a directory of member businesses.
Using our tools and calculators
Our cash flow, turnover, and paid sick days calculators are provided to help you think through decisions for your business. They rely on figures you enter and general assumptions, and the results are estimates only — not financial, legal, accounting, or tax advice. You should confirm any figures that matter to your business with your own advisors before acting on them.
Member directory and gift guide
Business listings, product entries, and any other content submitted by members are provided by those businesses themselves. We don't independently verify every detail, and a listing isn't an endorsement of a business's products, services, or practices. If something in a listing looks wrong, let us know and we'll look into it.
Membership
Submitting a membership application doesn't guarantee acceptance. We may decline or remove a membership at our discretion, including if a business's practices don't align with what the Better Way Alliance stands for.
Acceptable use
When using this site, please don't:
- Submit false or misleading information through our forms or directory.
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site.
- Use content from the site in a way that violates copyright or other laws.
- Use our contact forms or newsletter signup for spam or unrelated solicitation.
Intellectual property
The text, design, and tools on this site belong to the Better Way Alliance unless otherwise noted. Logos and content submitted by member businesses remain their own property. You're welcome to link to our site; please reach out before reproducing our content elsewhere.
Third-party links and services
Our site links to member businesses' own websites and to external services such as CommercialRent.ca. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or practices.
Disclaimer
This site and its tools are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep information accurate and tools working correctly, but we can't guarantee the site will always be available, error-free, or perfectly suited to your specific situation.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Better Way Alliance isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on any information or tool it provides.
