Since 2017 Executive Chef Chris Locke has created local, seasonal food at Toronto's iconic Marben Restaurant. The Pandemic provided an opportunity for Marben to go tip-free. All staff members, from cooks to front-of-house, are paid a more equitable wage structure. This has allowed Chris & team to develop a paid sick day, a more consistent schedule and standardized wage structure - just like any other business. On top of these benefits, staff are able to offer input on dishes and check-in with management regularly.
